Art Journaling Group of Indy
2nd Saturdays are BACK!!!! Now that Indy Upcycle has moved across the hall into an even BIGGER space with a bigger art room too, I thought we should check it out... and of course, support the small-business women! =-) The website is http://www.indyupcycle.com/ though their FB link is a bit more active... THERE IS SMALL FEE TO USE THIS SPACE: Cost is $2/per hour, per person- OR for $7 an hour you can ALSO use any art materials in the store!! So please expect to pay around $4+ to attend. For those who've never been, it's a shop PACKED FULL of scraps, papers, fabrics, ephemera, partially used paints & supplies, stencils, buttons, books, yarn, jewelry/metal bits, and MUCH more that she sells on a "pay as you wish" basis. VERY fun space to explore!!(Yes, they accept debit/charge too) Their building has it's own parking lot in front, tho spaces can fill up quickly at times. There is also free street parking in area. She can comfortably seat about 12 around tables.. For any newcomers, I suggest you bring a journal or watercolor/mixed media paper, and whatever you have as far as pencils, pens, markers, paint, whatever you want to start with... I'll also have a few supplies you can borrow during meetup.
